Erica earned her Bachelor's of Science in Sports Sciences, followed by her Master's of Science in Athletic Training in 2005 from LIU Brooklyn. After graduation, she joined the Sports Medicine department at Penn State, where she handled acute care and rehabilitation of rugby, ice hockey and tennis athletes. She then returned to LIU Brooklyn Sports Medicine as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, where she was responsible for the men's soccer, women's volleyball, track &amp; field, golf, women's lacrosse, and baseball programs throughout her tenure there. Erica has worked in multiple settings throughout her career, including education, collegiate and professional athletics, outpatient sports rehab, and boutique health and wellness, and started her own business in 2020. We will address the fear and hesitancy that accompanies the re-entry process into physical/athletic activity, and which can be a factor in retirement from sport or reinjury. We’ll also explore the tools that are used so often in sports performance, but too little in sports rehab, that can be utilized to provide the best rehab outcomes.</image:caption>
