creating change: advocacy strategies

that hit home

By learning how to effectively and consistently advocate for the profession of Athletic Training in their own unique setting, ATs can prioritize the health and safety of their patient population without sacrificing their own well-being, security, and growth.

Protecting your flame: actionable strategies to recover from & be resilient to burnout

In this workshop, we will look at the current research on burnout within healthcare and helping professions, the short-term and long-term effects of burnout, and explore individual and organizational solutions.

passion, purpose & potential: Finding (and Keeping!) the heart and soul of your work

This workshop helps rehab and fitness pros key into their unique passions, talents, and gifts so that they can be more fulfilled in their work. Your staff will explore ways to set themselves apart from others in the field, deepen their connection with your organization, and find the sweet spot where the things they love, the things they’re best at, and the things that serve their clients meet.

when injury becomes identity

This workshop acknowledges the grief and loss of identity that athletes and patients feel when they sustain a physical injury, and can no longer participate in the activities that make them feel strong, capable, and safe in their bodies. We will address the fear and hesitancy that accompanies the re-entry process into physical/athletic activity, and which can be a factor in retirement from sport or reinjury. We’ll also explore the tools that are used so often in sports performance, but too little in sports rehab, that can be utilized within a biopsychosocial treatment model to provide the best rehab outcomes.
